Kimberly McCormick has spent her life being very community oriented, volunteering when she can, donating when it’s possible, and doing what she can to assist others. She had two dreams for her life… one was to be a mommy, and the other was to be the founder of a non-profit organization. She has been blessed with three beautiful children: Damon is eleven, Autumn is ten, and Alyssa is six.
Kimberly also founded the Career Closet in Bloomington, Illinois, providing professional clothing, free of charge, to individuals entering the workforce. The Lullaby Closet was also founded by Kimberly in El Paso, Texas providing diapers, wipes, blankets and clothing to children in lower income families.
In order to combine her love of a great deal with social outreach, Encourage Hope was formed!
Having been a stay-at-home wife and mom to three great children for over sixteen years, Katie Swanson has always been one to try to buy items on sale and use coupons — when she remembered and they hadn’t expired in her purse — but her bill would be at least $150 each week. If the kids came with her, it was even more expensive. Clearly this strategy wasn’t working. Katie attended one of Kimberly’s classes in June, 2010 and it dramatically changed how she shopped. She’s very excited to be able to donate items from her stockpile to organizations that help the community, without it affecting her budget. She started working for Kimberly in March, 2011 and has thoroughly enjoyed helping others find great deals while sharing her enthusiasm in giving back to the community.
Amber Patterson is a wife and mother to two precious boys : 3 years old and 7 months. She recently quit her full-time job to stay home and is grateful that couponing has helped her be able to do that. Amber has been couponing for about two years as a way to stretch her family budget and donate more to her local church food pantry. She’ll be posting about new coupons, giveaways, Pampers, Huggies, and Disney Movie Reward points programs as well as “top picks” at Meijer, Walgreens and CVS weekly. She looks forward to sharing her finds with you!
